We will be holding our year-end fun day on Saturday, Sept. 3rd!
Everyone is welcome to come out and ride for the day. Bring your own food and beverages, and enjoy some laid back riding.
Gates will be open all day.

May/11

We have arranged for Rick Dittus, of Miles City, Montana, to come to our South Alameda MX Park to teach a motocross school!!! 

The school will be held July 16th and 17th, with the small bike school on the 16th, big bikes on the 17th. (Big bikes include 125's and up).
All levels of experience are accepted! Everyone can learn something from Rick Dittus!

Cost is $150.00/rider for the full day of instruction, only 15 entries per day will be accepted, on a first-come, first-served basis.

P.S. You are welcome to come and stay at the track the night before your school day. The track will be open Friday night, by approximately 6pm. We still do not have power, so you must bring your own generators, lights, etc. Feel free to bring firewood, and visit around the fire each night!

P.P.S. The track will be closed Friday, assuming we can get maintenance help on that day. If necessary, we may close on Thursday. We want the track in prime condition for Rick's school!

*UPDATE*
We are still going ahead with our fun day!
It is quite muddy, but we expect to disc, and scrape the mud wherever possible, and the bikes will help to dry the track out.
Come out for lots of fun!

Sept.30/09
We will be having a fun riding day for all of our members on October 3rd. This will be a Donor/Member Appreciation Day. Come out for some burgers, bonfire, and alot of riding and fun!
Please be sure to let all Donors know they are welcome to come and see what their donations of time, money, services, supplies, etc. have done for us!

We will also be having a Family dance on Oct. 24th. in Oxbow! Erin and the guys are going to rock the house with their tunes! More details to follow.

The big day is fast approaching! Our first ever, SCRC race at our new track! July 4th, gates will open at 7:30 am, but there will be RV parking allowed the night before the races.

June 12/09

Anyone interested there is a riding school this weekend on Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 am to 3:00 pm on both days.  $50 charge which is pretty reasonable for two days of instruction.

We have decided on some dates for our first Rider Clinic of '09! Blaine Goforth, and hopefully, Troy Revet, and Chris Elliott will be teaching their stuff on June 13, and possibly the 14, too!
Plan to be there, and I will let you know as soon as we have more details.

For all new riders, or anyone just wanting a few tips and tricks from experinced riders:

We will be holding 1 or 2 Rider Clinics this summer! Blaine Goforth, Troy Revet, and Chris Elliott have agreed to be our instructors to help with safety, corners, jumps, landings, and more!

I will post more information as we get these clinics organized.

GREAT NEWS, EVERYONE!

We will be holding not just ONE, but TWO races this year, as part of the SCRC for 09!!!!

The first race will be July 4th, 2009 and second race will be August 8th, 2009.

Please notice, that we will require members NOT to ride for a few days prior to the races. This will allow for the track prep, and not do any damage we'd need to fix on race day!

Please read all of the notices in the Member Updates to see what we need to do to complete the track preparations for these races.
There has been alot of work done, but there is still more on the agenda.

OUR FIRST EVENT!

Oxbow Souris Valley MX is proud to announce our very first public event!

We will be holding a "fun race day" on Saturday, Oct. 4/08 at the Oxbow Souris Valley track!
Details will be published here as soon as the kinks are worked out. We are planning work days to have the track in prime shape for the day, and hope to see any and all fans, riders, and spectators there!
